Social listening pricing in 2026: what 12 tools charge, and what they don’t tell you.

Social listening prices range from $29 a month to more than $60,000 a year. Here is what twelve tools reported charging, how they bill, and what usually costs extra.

The short answer.

Social listening pricing runs from about $29 a month for basic keyword tracking to $60,000 or more a year for enterprise platforms. Most enterprise tools do not publish prices and sell annual contracts. Budget tools publish monthly prices but often exclude video or charge extra for listening. Noodle4 starts at £99 a month and charges for usage, not seats.

What usually costs extra

The headline price is rarely the whole bill. Vendr’s Brandwatch data, which is the most detailed public breakdown we found, shows the pattern, and it is common across enterprise tools:

  • Onboarding. A few thousand dollars up to 10 to 15 percent of the annual contract for complex setups.
  • Premium support. Roughly 10 to 20 percent on top of the base subscription.
  • Modules. Several tools sell listening as an add-on to a social management plan, so the plan price is not the listening price.
  • Seats. Per-user pricing grows with the number of people who need to look at the data.
  • Multi-year terms. Vendr reports discounts of about 15 to 25 percent for two to three year commitments, in return for a longer lock-in.

How to compare fairly

  1. Price the same job. Pick one real job, such as 500 videos and 15,000 comments a month, and ask every vendor to quote it.
  2. Count everything. Add onboarding, support, modules and seats to the headline price.
  3. Add the analysis you still do by hand. A cheaper tool that leaves an analyst to read the output is not cheaper. Estimate the hours.
  4. Check the exit. Ask about the term, auto-renewal and data export before you sign.

Cost per item

The most useful number is the cost per analysed item, which is your total monthly cost divided by the number of videos and comments you analyse. A tool that charges $500 a month and analyses 1,000 items costs $0.50 an item. The same tool analysing 20,000 items costs $0.025. Per-seat tools get cheaper per item as volume grows only if more volume does not need more seats.

What Noodle4 includes

Noodle4 is a full social intelligence platform, not only a video tool. It reviews text as well as video and images, and it includes:

  • Text, video and image review. Reads captions, on-screen text, spoken words, images and comments, so the whole piece of content is understood.
  • Taxonomies. Organise content and comments into your own categories, so results match how your team thinks.
  • Visual-level SKU tracking. Spot products and SKUs as they appear in videos and images, not only when they are named in text.
  • Classifications. Every piece of content and every comment is classified by topic, type and relevance.
  • Anomaly detection. Flags unusual spikes and shifts, so you see what is trending before it spreads.
  • Slack and Slack Connect. Reviews, risks and reports go to your team’s channels, and to shared channels with partners.
  • MCP. Ask about your creators, campaigns and social intelligence from Claude, Cursor or any MCP client.
  • API. Send content in and get structured results back from your own systems.

That covers social listening, brand monitoring, influencer screening and monitoring, content review and reporting in one place. It is priced on usage, not seats, from £99 a month.

How we know this

These notes come from building Noodle4’s review and listening pipelines, not from a published academic sample. Cost curves, intent splits, and ASR collisions are from internal R&D and client-shaped tests. They will not match every category. We include them because the failure mode is structural — not because one campaign is universal.

Frequently asked questions

How much does social listening cost?

From about $29 a month for basic keyword tracking to $60,000 or more a year for enterprise platforms. Mid-market tools typically fall between $100 and $600 a month, according to the sources reviewed.

Why don’t enterprise tools publish their prices?

Enterprise pricing is usually negotiated by volume, modules and contract length, so vendors quote per customer. That also means two companies can pay very different amounts for the same plan.

How much does Noodle4 cost?

Noodle4 starts at £99 a month and charges for usage, not per seat. New accounts get £5 of free credit after approval.

Is per-seat or usage-based pricing better?

Per-seat pricing suits a small team that lives in the tool. Usage-based pricing suits many people who occasionally need answers, because nobody needs their own licence.
