Brandwatch alternatives for teams without an enterprise budget (2026).
Brandwatch does not publish its prices, and reported contracts run to tens of thousands of dollars a year. Here are the alternatives, by what you actually need.
The short answer.
If Brandwatch is too expensive or too broad for the job, the best alternative depends on what you need. For cheaper keyword and mention tracking, look at Awario, Brand24 or Mention. For video and comment analysis, look at Noodle4 (from £99 a month) or Syncly Social ($259 a month, vendor-stated). If you need another enterprise platform, Meltwater, Talkwalker and Sprinklr are comparable in cost, not cheaper.

Why teams look for alternatives
Brandwatch does not publish list pricing. Vendr, which tracks software purchases, reports a median of about $50,000 a year across 40 Brandwatch purchases, with a range from about $19,500 to $81,200. Annual contracts are standard, and Vendr estimates onboarding can add a few thousand dollars up to 10 to 15 percent of the contract, and premium support another 10 to 20 percent.
For a large enterprise that is a reasonable cost for broad coverage. For a team that mostly needs to understand its own video and comments, it can mean paying for a lot of capability that goes unused.
The alternatives
| Alternative | Best for | Reported price | Billing | Video |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Noodle4 | Every video, image, text post and comment, at low cost, with taxonomies and SKU tracking | From £99 a month, pay for usage | Usage-based, no per-seat licences | Video, image, text and comments |
| Syncly Social | Video-first listening | $259 a month (Starter), per the vendor | Monthly plans listed | Transcripts and text overlays, per the vendor |
| Brand24 | Keyword and mention tracking | $199 a month on annual billing | Monthly or annual | TikTok listed |
| Awario | The lowest-cost tracking | From $29 a month on annual billing | Monthly or annual | Not listed |
| Mention | Mention tracking | $599 a month | Annual only | Not listed |
| Meltwater | PR and media monitoring | About $16,000 a year (small and mid-size) | Annual, quote-based | Speech-to-text, per a vendor-published comparison |
| Talkwalker | Enterprise image and visual analysis | From about $500 a month | Custom | Logo and scene detection, per a vendor-published comparison |
Reported figures are from third-party sources and vendor-published comparisons, listed below. Meltwater and Talkwalker are enterprise tools, so they are alternatives in capability, not in cost.
What you give up
Be honest about this before you switch. Brandwatch is a broad enterprise platform. Depending on the tool you move to, you may give up some of the following, so check each one against your own needs:
- Breadth of sources. Large platforms cover many channels, news and forums. Smaller tools often focus on a few platforms.
- Historical data. Long archives and backfilled history are an enterprise feature. Ask what each tool can look back over.
- Enterprise workflow. Approvals, permissions, single sign-on and integrations with BI tools are stronger in enterprise platforms.
- Dedicated support and services. Larger contracts usually include account managers and onboarding.
In return you may get lower cost, shorter setup, no seat licences and results built around video and comments. If those matter more than the list above, an alternative is likely to fit.
How to switch without losing a quarter
- List what you actually use. Pull a month of usage. Most teams use a few searches, a dashboard and a weekly report, not the whole platform.
- Run both tools side by side. Pick one real topic and run it in the old and new tools for two weeks. Compare the answers, not the screens.
- Check the exit terms. If you are mid-contract, find the renewal date, notice period and any data export rights before you commit.
- Move the reports last. Keep the old reports running until the new ones match, then switch.
What Noodle4 includes
Noodle4 is a full social intelligence platform, not only a video tool. It reviews text as well as video and images, and it includes:
- Text, video and image review. Reads captions, on-screen text, spoken words, images and comments, so the whole piece of content is understood.
- Taxonomies. Organise content and comments into your own categories, so results match how your team thinks.
- Visual-level SKU tracking. Spot products and SKUs as they appear in videos and images, not only when they are named in text.
- Classifications. Every piece of content and every comment is classified by topic, type and relevance.
- Anomaly detection. Flags unusual spikes and shifts, so you see what is trending before it spreads.
- Slack and Slack Connect. Reviews, risks and reports go to your team’s channels, and to shared channels with partners.
- MCP. Ask about your creators, campaigns and social intelligence from Claude, Cursor or any MCP client.
- API. Send content in and get structured results back from your own systems.
That covers social listening, brand monitoring, influencer screening and monitoring, content review and reporting in one place. It is priced on usage, not seats, from £99 a month.

How we know this
These notes come from building Noodle4’s review and listening pipelines, not from a published academic sample. Cost curves, intent splits, and ASR collisions are from internal R&D and client-shaped tests. They will not match every category. We include them because the failure mode is structural — not because one campaign is universal.
