Noodle4

Best social listening tools for video and comments (2026).

Most social listening tools were built for text. If your audience is on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, here is which tools say they can read video and comments, and what they cost.

The short answer.

There is no single best tool, because the job decides. For enterprise reporting across many channels with a large budget, Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprinklr and Talkwalker are the established choices, usually on annual contracts. For cheap keyword tracking, Awario, Brand24 and Mention publish their prices. For analysing every video and comment without an enterprise contract, Noodle4 is built for that job and starts at £99 a month. Syncly Social also focuses on video, from $259 a month, by its own account.

How we compared

We looked at the four things that decide whether a tool will work for video-led social: whether it reads video and not only captions, whether it covers comments, how transparent and flexible the pricing is, and how much analysis is still left for your team after the tool has finished.

We compared published prices and what each vendor says about itself, so the table shows reported figures, not our testing of each product. Where a source is a competitor, we say so. Prices are as reported in the sources below in October 2026, are usually in US dollars and change often. Check the vendor’s own page before you decide.

How to pick

  1. You need one number for the board, across every channel. An enterprise platform such as Brandwatch, Meltwater or Sprinklr is built for that, and you should expect an annual contract and a sales process.
  2. You need to track brand keywords cheaply. Awario, Brand24 or Mention publish prices you can check without a call. Confirm whether they cover the video platforms you care about.
  3. You need to understand video and comments, not only mentions. Look for tools that read what is said and shown in the video and that cover comments. Noodle4 and Syncly Social both focus here, with different pricing models.

Many teams end up with two tools: a broad one for headline reporting and a specialist one for video and comments. If you can only afford one, start with the job that costs you the most when it goes wrong.

What to ask any vendor

  1. Does it read the video itself? Ask whether it analyses what is said, written and shown on screen, or only the caption and hashtags.
  2. Does it cover comments? Comments are where questions, complaints and buying signals show up. Ask whether they are analysed or only counted.
  3. Is the same result produced every time? Run the same item twice. If labels change between runs, your reports will too.
  4. What is the price at your volume? Ask for the cost of your real volume, including onboarding, support and extra modules.
  5. How much analysis is left for your team? Ask who turns the output into a decision. If it is an analyst, count that cost too.

What Noodle4 includes

Noodle4 is a full social intelligence platform, not only a video tool. It reviews text as well as video and images, and it includes:

  • Text, video and image review. Reads captions, on-screen text, spoken words, images and comments, so the whole piece of content is understood.
  • Taxonomies. Organise content and comments into your own categories, so results match how your team thinks.
  • Visual-level SKU tracking. Spot products and SKUs as they appear in videos and images, not only when they are named in text.
  • Classifications. Every piece of content and every comment is classified by topic, type and relevance.
  • Anomaly detection. Flags unusual spikes and shifts, so you see what is trending before it spreads.
  • Slack and Slack Connect. Reviews, risks and reports go to your team’s channels, and to shared channels with partners.
  • MCP. Ask about your creators, campaigns and social intelligence from Claude, Cursor or any MCP client.
  • API. Send content in and get structured results back from your own systems.

That covers social listening, brand monitoring, influencer screening and monitoring, content review and reporting in one place. It is priced on usage, not seats, from £99 a month.

Sources

Checked 14 October 2026. Several sources are published by vendors with their own interests, so treat their claims as stated, not verified.

  • Xpoz: social listening tools pricing compared (July 2026 table). Published by a vendor that is also listed in the table.
  • Vendr: Brandwatch pricing intelligence. Based on 40 purchases. Brandwatch does not publish list prices.
  • Syncly: top video social listening tools for 2026 (Nov 2025). Vendor-published. Claims are the vendor’s own.

How we know this

These notes come from building Noodle4’s review and listening pipelines, not from a published academic sample. Cost curves, intent splits, and ASR collisions are from internal R&D and client-shaped tests. They will not match every category. We include them because the failure mode is structural — not because one campaign is universal.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best social listening tool for TikTok?

It depends on the job. Enterprise platforms such as Brandwatch, Meltwater and Sprinklr say they cover video, and budget tools such as Brand24 list TikTok. For analysing video and comments in depth at low cost, look at video-first tools such as Noodle4 and Syncly Social.

What is the cheapest social listening tool?

Among the tools in this post, Awario has the lowest reported entry price at $29 a month on annual billing, but its source lists no video coverage. Noodle4 starts at £99 a month and covers video and comments.

Do I need an enterprise contract?

Not for every job. Enterprise platforms are typically sold on annual contracts, but several tools publish monthly prices and let you start without a sales call.

Can an AI assistant like Claude or ChatGPT replace a social listening tool?

For a handful of items, yes. At hundreds of videos and thousands of comments, one-shot calls get expensive and can label the same item differently between runs, which is why dedicated models are used for classification at volume.
